I have weight loss clients that come to me wanting to lose weight in order to get healthy and my message to them is always that the weight loss occurs when they get healthy.
Read that again.
Good health doesn’t come from weight loss. Weight loss comes from good health. Like a side-effect of better health.
My approach to working with weight loss clients is therefore about addressing the underlying causes of any obesity like, blood-sugar dysregulation, hormone imbalance, excess inflammation etc.
I never ask clients to count calories or weigh foods. Portion size isn’t the issue for me. It’s about getting the right nutrients into the body, in order that it can function effectively at a cellular level.
